The topic on everyone's mind seems to be what was formally known as the 'swine flu', now as the H1N1 virus. I think I'm going to end up remembering it as swine flu for a while though.

So the last I heard, there are now eleven cases of this virus in my province, two of them being on the island and relatively close to where I live. This has cause quite a stir in the island's population; people who have had no previous interactions with people who had recently been to Mexico or have never been to Mexico them selves are now claiming to have the H1N1 virus. There are more and more people walking around with surgical masks, avoiding pork, or rushing into hospitals at the signs of a sore throat. Some countries are even killing pigs because of the word 'swine' in the original namesake, but now the name has been change because there is no proof that it is actually connected to the animal in question. The virus isn't even that bad outside of Mexico.

The media is once again scared many citizens into becoming hypochondriacs. Good job guys.

What I'm enjoying though is the percentage of the world's population who are making a bit of a joke out of this. This pandemic to be has been referred to by some as the tell tale signs of a zombie apocalypse. A few people whom I watch on DA are rethinking their Z-day plans, which I am finding really entertaining.

Not saying that I don't have a plan myself, I've had a plan for a while now and until something in my plan changes (a building gets knocked down, I move, etc.) my plan is going to stay where it is.

Have fun with the up coming apocalypse, I already know where I'm heading.

Gott, it takes me so long to just buy the fabric for this coat; curse you work and only giving me dinner shifts as of late. I can already tell that this is going to be a rather interesting ordeal, what with the fact that I have never made a coat before and that my sewing/craft room is still the current residency of random junk that my parents have moved from their master bathroom/storage space while my bathroom is still being renovated. I'm going to have to forge a way through the chaos to even find my machine before I start this. I'm also going to have to modify the pattern to be double breasted, have a collar and trim down the size of the cuffs.

Now for a big question:

Gold trim or black trim?

I've seen cosplays with both and I have yet to decide which one looks better. Maybe I should just take a piece of my royal blue twill I got for my coat back over to the fabric store and look at both possibilities?

I wish my hair was a tad bit longer for this to work properly, I have till June though. I should go and find a shampoo or something to help it grow faster. Also, my hair is dirty blond with natural red highlights (you can see them exceptionally well in the sunlight), I'm debating over dying it dark brown for this cosplay since I like natural hair as apposed to wigs. That's not happening for my Haku cosplay though, I need a new long white wig for that, and headphones, and pants, need to repaint my shoes...

I'm thinking of using my glasses for Roderich's, even though they're red and purple, but I can see with them at least. I'm the type of person who wants to be as accurate as possible, but I will not sacrifice my ability to see over the accuracy of my outfit. And I'm not buying new glasses just to make my perfectionist side happy (I have things to buy that are more important and bills to pay). Since I'm considering wearing heels with this, it's better for me to see where I'm going as I'm afraid I might fall over.

Boots are going to probably be the most expensive part of my costume. I love boots, I would own more of them if I wasn't saving money like WHOA right now (my cousins wedding, the RP Hetalia Disney trip, my trip to Germany/Switzerland/Austria/Italy with my friend Jackie (Not you, Matty, I have another Jackie. You're welcome to come with though <3), getting myself my own place, conventions like Sakura Con and Anime Evolution, etc).

I need to win the lottery or something, so many things I wish to do *sigh*

It is absolutely gorgeous outside today; hardly any clouds, it's relatively warm, and there's even a light breeze that brings in the light aroma of high tide. And I have so much to do today~ Mein Gott, I just want to take my camera and go down to the harbor to take pictures. I'd also go to The Green Wasabi for some takoyaki if I wasn't already full from my lunch. Mmmm, takoyaki...

I hung the laundry outside today, the burning pile has finally stopped smoking so I'm sure my clothes are going to smell like spring rather then ashes. That thing has been burning for a while now, it started out as big as a house! I can't believe that all my neighbours had so much junk to burn. Might as well doing while the ground is still slightly moist though, a cold winter like we just had means that we're getting a dry, hot summer again. Curse you, global warming.

I'm seeing allot more smart cars on the side of the road with for sale signs on them. I want one, the lime green one I saw last Tuesday to be precise. Before that though, I still need to get my license. I should probably get on that soon..

My 19th birthday is this Wednesday, it's going to be a riot, I'm sure. Fourteen members of my family going out for dinner and drinks at a pub, wow. The original plan was to go to the Irish Times Pub; I love the atmosphere there and their burger(bree and pepper bacon never tasted so good on 100% Angus beef) and that they have live Celtic music after 6pm, but that's apparently down the pipes since they don't have enough space to keep us all. So now we're heading to this other place called the Knock 'em Back. My classmates in college used to go there after class and apparently it's rather good there. We barely got a reservation though, they apparently are not allowed to make any on wing nights.

Since I was 16 my mother promised that the first legal drink she would buy me would by a drink called a paralyzer. It's apparently really good and one of the only hard drinks she'll ever drink. But my cousin says that I should also try a fuzzy navel because I like peaches. I'm not sure if I'll find it here, but juddpoynter and ellegunis were talking about this drink called WKD. If I can't find it here, maybe I can order it?.....

So we're apparently going on strike soon, as the vote was 93/7 in favour of it (part of the 93% was me). It's to get the board up for negotiations again so that we can get higher pay, more sick days (6 a year is not enough guys), and more people because we don't have enough on the floor every shift. The board apparently doesn't want to talk to us on the matter, therefore we're striking.

Working tomorrow though; I'm getting allot more shifts recently which is good for my 'Get-Sara-to-cousin's-wedding-in-the-Caribbean' fund. Which reminds me, I need to find something to wear to that. Anyway, more money is good, now I just need to stop spending it on games and books on traveling Europe..... orz

I'm going to go back to eating Pocky and watching the MSN convo now, if I can ever figure out what's going on.... And why is Liet acting like me?.... *shrugs and eats pockey*

Almost seven years since my little brother was diagnosed with cancer; the day after my 12 birthday... I can't believe it's been that long. It's been three years since he passed and I still have dreams with him in it, he's always joking and making fun of me like he did when he was alive. This makes me happy in a way. I believe in re-incarnation so I hope he got something he loved, like a wolf or..... He didn't like much things, the cynical bastard!

Okay, my week as gone as follows:

APH forum - Awesome.

My pay check - Awesome.
Cosplay - Still in progress, but very close to finish. Will post photos.
College - Fail, lots and lots of fail.

According to my marks so far, I'm only good at sauces. Stock was fail with only 6s and 7s and soup was even more fail with 6s and 5s (I thought my cream of tomato soup tasted spaztastic, thank you, chef). Sure all marks are out of 10, but I keep seeing the marks of my other classmates as 8s and 9s for everything and it makes me sad D: This is why I have low self-esteem chef, everyone is better then me! *goes to corner*

My cosplay is going good; the collar, hood, zipper, tail, and eyes just need to be attached and the whole thing needs to be hemmed. My wig needs lots o' care and primming, which will be done tomorrow after the trip to wallmart. I think it was a good idea to go with the extra-thick lining though, my collar is going to stand up nicely after being attached.

I got my pay check yesterday, cashed it today, it was satisfying. Went to the bookstore just to browse while waiting for my bus and found myself in the language section again. I spotted German and Italian phrase books, leafed through them and though to myself that I would like to learn both these languages, since I've been wanting to go to both these countries even before Hetalia. And as I was waiting in line waiting to pay for them it struck me that I also had a Japanese phrase book at home, which made me giggle when I thought "I have all the Axis Powers in phrase book form". The clerk thought I was high, my day was compleat.

Almost have my entire party at lvl 30 in Persona4 and still can't defeat Kanji's Shadow, what's up with that?

Been more then a month now and still haven't been able to get anyone to phone me back untill now. I even tried for retail positions and I still wasn't called back.

But the hospital caffiteria I applied to phoned me a week ago and asked if I'd be able to work, I said yes. Before I was able to work though, I had to get a TB test and criminal record check done (what criminal record? I haz none because I'm that good =D). And now that it's done, I actiually get to earn money now.

I'm so happy for the fact that it's a 15 minute walk from my house. I love working close to home <3<3

I wish I had more to say, but my laptop battery is dying....

I'm finding that my hair is starting to look more and more like Hungary's....

Most of my experiences revolve around child spirits, creepy child spirits.
I don't have very many that I can remember, but once when I was about eight or nine, I saw a wisp no bigger then a small child jump in front of me when I was walking to the bathroom and darted into the laundrey room. Worst of all, the thing came from the room I was sleeping in D:
A more recent encounter happened at my grandmothers. The two of us were alone in the house up stairs, I was kinda standing in the hallway when I heard a little boy say "Mommy?" right behind me on the stairs. There was no one there when I turned around.
I also used to have weird deja vu when I was younger, I knew I was going to meet one of my friends in band before I even went to middle school...

I think I need to get a life, fast, or else be swept of into the abyss of boredom my entire life.  One more week of this, then I'm going home to rest for a while cuz two weeks without a day off can be tiring.  Plus, I miss my bed and my PC TTATT  Oh and my parents!  Hope everyone is okay...

I don't want to ride the bike today, my behind hurts....  Wonder if the stupid assholes guards will remember that I'm on the list today and let me in without trouble.  Learn to read guys!
